Dr. Andrew Rudin is a cardiologist and board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist, and one of the leading interventional electrophysiologists in the United States.
Dr. Rudin earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and spent an extra year learning the ins and out of big data analysis. Andrew Rudin MD subsequently earned his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, where he earned the Harold Elster Memorial Prize, awarded to the graduating senior with the highest academic standing. Dr. Rudin completed his internal medicine residency and a chief resident year at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was selected by the Chairman of Medicine to serve as Chief Resident. He then trained in cardiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, completing fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Rudin is licensed to practice in New York and Tennessee, and sees telehealth patients nationally and internationally. Dr. Rudin consults with patients daily on issues surrounding the cardiovascular system and cardiac troubles. In addition, Dr. Rudin is an active advocate for preventative care and a healthy lifestyle to avoid heart problems later in life, which he writes about at BestHeartBeat.com and on his hub site, AndrewRudinMD.com.
His primary focus is on the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, particularly atrial fibrillation.
A Root-Cause Approach to Heart Health
After decades treating heart rhythm disorders and coronary disease with the full toolkit of conventional cardiology, Dr. Rudin came to a conviction that reshaped his practice: most heart disease is driven by factors we can address long before a procedure is ever needed. Diet, sleep, stress, insulin resistance, inflammation, and blood pressure quietly shape cardiovascular risk for nearly everyone — not just those with an abnormal test result.
He now practices whole-person, root-cause cardiology, pairing the rigor of board-certified electrophysiology with prevention-first, natural strategies that treat the person rather than the number on a lab report. His goal is simple: help patients prevent, manage, and in many cases reverse heart disease by addressing what’s actually causing it.
Today, Dr. Rudin practices natural methods for the prevention, treatment and reversal of heart disease with Natural Heart Doctor. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Rudin, click here.
